A living connection to where they come from.
Our mission is to give the next generation of Indians a real, felt connection to Sanatana Dharma: the cultural, scientific, spiritual and dharmic roots they were born into. Not as a lecture, but the way the tradition was always passed on — through experience, through gurus and their students, and through the temples, music and stories that carry it.
Sanatana means "that which is eternal." Our Rishis did not invent it any more than Newton invented gravity. They observed what was already there, and gave us the language — the Vedas, the Upanishads, the kirtanas — to understand it and to hand it forward.

When we shared our vision with the seer of the Kanchi Matham, he gave it a Sanskrit name: धर्ममूलम्, Dharma Moolam, the root of dharma. That is how Know Your Roots began.

MahaPrasadam grants
Small grants to temple pujaris so they can offer blessed food, Anna Danam, to devotees nearby. The aim: support MahaPrasadam programs at up to 1,000 neglected temples across India.
